In doing so I believe in reading, writing, and listening to music at the same time is art therapy for the soul. Here in middle school I like to touch more on the foundations, individual artist, techniques and style of art not so much the end result but the process. When I taught elementary art, I did alot more hands on (Pre-COVID-19) less foundational art. I teach my students that when they come into middle school art is very different from elementary art. I try very hard to teach art across the cirriculum, touching all subjects like Social Studies, Science, Math, English Language Arts, Spanish, STEM, Health, Computer Science, Music, Physical Education, Food and Nutrition and more. Once they get in the habbit of a daily task, the rest of the period goes well!
