Haylen pulls the Survivor aside and makes a plea for mercy on Danse's behalf, desperate to save him even if he is a synth. They meet with Proctor Quinlan to figure out a way to track Danse down, but their deliberations are interrupted by Scribe Haylen. The Sole Survivor is then ordered to find Danse, who has gone AWOL, and execute him. This is confirmed when the Sole Survivor confronts Danse and asks him why he had not confided in them, and is told that Danse only found out his real life story at the same time as the rest of the Brotherhood. Alternatively, they can suggest that Danse himself may not have known he was a synth. The Sole Survivor is then given a choice of medium-difficulty persuasion checks to convince Maxson they did not know Danse's true nature. He reveals that the network hack of the Institute's mainframe yielded indisputable proof Danse is not human, but is actually a missing synth unit with the designation M7-97 (this was achieved through DNA analysis of those reported missing from the Institute, and cross-checking that against all members of the Brotherhood of Steel, as each member's DNA is already conveniently on file in Proctor Quinlan's records). Upon reaching the command deck, a furious and very suspicious Elder Maxson irately confronts the Sole Survivor, demanding to know if they were aware Paladin Danse was a synth. However, once arriving after being ordered to report back to the Prydwen anyway, the Sole Survivor is suddenly unable to find Danse anywhere.
Report to Desdemona for reward.Towards the end of Liberty Reprimed (immediately after recovering the Mark 28 warheads inside the pre-war bomb storage facility), Paladin Danse tells the Sole Survivor that he will not be accompanying them back until the nukes are successfully transported to Proctor Ingram at Boston Airport, and that they will meet back up on the Prydwen as soon as his work is complete.
If you kill the elder be sure to grab his gun *Final Judgment*. Or you can go in guns blazing and just do it that way. You will have to talk to the NPCs but save during or before because you will have a few red dialog options (so you're not resulting to violence). So Hopefully you have some BoS clothing to sneak in and avoid fighting. Because you're going against Brotherhood of Steel. Now for Rockets' you're going to need some pretty good guns and armor.
Then you will do Operation Ticonderoga followed by Precipice Of War then Rockets' Red Glare this is only possible if you did TML and sided with with Railroad. You will need to have completed The Molecular Level and sided with the Railroad by talking to Desdemona telling her, "to signal the troops".
So now that you know this proceed on your difficulty preference to get to this started.
